What’s Sweet Tooth About?

Warner Bros. Television Distribution

Sweet Tooth is a comic book limited series written and drawn by Canadian Jeff Lemire, published by DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint. The story follows the story of Gus, a boy who is half human and half deer. He is forced to leave his home in the forest and finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. The world has been devastated by a catastrophic event.

Gus, seeing everything around him, joins a family of half-human, half-animal hybrids as he searches for answers to the questions he has always asked about his origins and why he is half-human and half-deer.

Here you can check out the official synopsis:

Ten years ago, a cataclysmic event wreaked havoc on the world, causing the mysterious appearance of hybrid beings: babies born part human and part animal. Although it is not known for sure if the hybrids are the cause or the result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them. After a decade of living quietly secluded in his forest home, a boy/deer hybrid named Gus befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd. Together they embark on an extraordinary adventure through what’s left of the country in search of answers: about Gus’ origins, Jepperd’s past, and the true meaning of home. But his story is littered with unexpected friends and enemies, and Gus quickly learns that the vast and dangerous world beyond the forest is more complex than he could have imagined.
