The Boys season 4 began filming way back in August 2022, and it seems that after almost eight months the long shoot in the final stages of wrapping up. Homelander himself, actor Antony Starr, shared the news that he had completed work on the new season of the popular Prime Video superhero series and is now heading off for a much needed break. It seems that Starr could find no better way to celebrate than to share a series of images of his dubiously-intentioned character covered in blood, as well as one of him relaxing on a plane after finishing up his role.
In one of his posts, Starr noted that the cast were finishing up one at a time and “heading home.” He said:
“That’s a wrap on Toronto 22/23. The wheels are still turning but we are peeling away and heading home one by one. Congratulations to the entire team that collaborates to make this batshit beast breath!!! Love this show, the team and the fans. Happy Mondays. Make the most of it all folks. X”
Starr’s co-stars Jack Quaid and The Boys newcomer Jeffrey Dean Morgan responded to the post by respectively congratulating him on completing his work on the series and telling him to “go sleep.” With everything now seeming to be winding down on the production, work now begins on getting the new episodes ready to air.

The Boys Could Already Have Season 5 In The Works
Prime Video
Although there are very few shows that get renewed in advance of their latest episodes airing, The Boys’ showrunner Eric Kripke has already hinted that the fourth season of the show will not be the last. When asked about the progress of the fourth season last year, Kripke said:
“Cause you’re asking! We’ve been shooting since late August. I’m here to prep & direct the Season 4 finale. No, not the series finale, there will be more! Most importantly, S4 premieres… at some point in the future in our discernible reality.”
At the end of the last season, Homelander was in a stronger position than ever, and that means that his adversaries will have to find even more elaborate and no doubt violent ways to try and take him down. Although it seemed that many of the scenes shown in season 3 had pushed the boundaries of what it was possible for the series to deliver, there have been plenty of teases that even more depraved and unapologetic moments are to come when the series returns.
The Boys will bring back Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), Antony Starr (Homelander), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Erin Moriarty (Starlight), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), Chace Crawford (Deep), Karen Fukuhura (Kimiko), Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Tomer Capone (Frenchie), Claudia Doumit (Victoria Neuman), Colby Minifie (Ashley) and Cameron Crovetti (Ryan). In addition to this, Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry join the show as Sage and Firecracker respectively, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan also joins in an undisclosed role.
