Other Nickelodeon shows have been given feature film adaptations in years past, but Blue’s Clues has not yet had a full-length movie. The popular series first debuted in 1996 with original host Steve Burns. While Burns left in 2002, the series would continue on until 2006 with replacement host Donovan Patton, who stepped in as Steve’s “cousin” Joe. This original run lasted for six seasons.
Blue’s Clues was revived in 2019 in the form of a new show dubbed Blue’s Clues & You!. The series introduced Josh Dela Cruz as a new host, though it was not a straight reboot, as it serves as a continuation of the prior version of Blue’s Clues. Both Burns and Patton have even shown up on the show at various points to reprise their roles as Steve and Joe. The series has been doing well and was given a renewal at Nickelodeon earlier this year.
Last year, all three hosts would also reunite for a special music video to celebrate 25 years of Blue’s Clues. You can watch that video below to help build anticipation for the release of Blue’s Big City Adventure. That film will be hitting Paramount+ on Nov. 18, 2022.
