Born Again Set Photos Tease Flashback Scene Involving Young Wilson Fisk

The latest set photos from the highly-anticipated Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again have given fans a sneak peek into what they can expect from the show. The Born Again storyline, which serves as the inspiration for the new series, finds Daredevil’s secret identity, Matt Murdock, exposed and his life destroyed by his arch-nemesis, Kingpin. While the new series is set to be a successor to the Netflix series, some changes may be made as the characters are integrated into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Vincent D’Onofrio is set to reprise his role as Wilson Fisk, the notorious crime boss known as the Kingpin, while Charlie Cox will return as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who fights crime at night as Daredevil. Fans of the original series will recall the intense dynamic between these two characters, which is expected to continue in Daredevil: Born Again.

What to Expect from Daredevil: Born Again

Marvel Studios

Marvel fans have been buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. However, as the release date draws closer, there are still many unknowns about the show, leaving fans with questions about what to expect. One of the main sources of uncertainty is whether the new series will serve as a continuation of the previous Daredevil show, or if it will be a total reboot that just happens to feature some of the same actors. Adding to the intrigue, actor Michael Gandolfini has been announced as a new addition to the cast. Gandolfini previously played a young Tony Soprano in the film The Many Saints of Newark, which served as a prequel to the popular TV series The Sopranos. After receiving praise for his performance in the show, Gandolfini is now joining the world of the MCU.

There is also uncertainty around the fate of some of the supporting characters from the previous Daredevil series. Elden Henson, who played Foggy Nelson, and Deborah Ann Woll, who played Karen Page, are not expected to reprise their respective roles. It remains to be seen whether their absence will be addressed in the new series or if the show will simply move forward without them. As Marvel Studios continues to bring its street-level heroes into the larger narrative of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the question of how Daredevil: Born Again fits into this broader universe becomes increasingly significant.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere on Disney+ in early 2024.
