Comedy legend Carol Burnett will be honored with a new television special for her 90th birthday. Deadline reports that the special, dubbed Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love, is scheduled to air on NBC on her actual 90th birthday. If you don’t happen to have that date memorized offhand, it would be Wednesday, April 26th. The special will also be made available for streaming starting the next day on Peacock.

“I’m so excited NBC decided to throw me a birthday party and invited all of my closest friends,” Burnett said in a statement addressing the special, which features many of the TV all-stars friends and contemporaries. “I can’t wait to look back at so many wonderful moments throughout my career, I feel so lucky to share this night with everyone.”

Some of the confirmed names that will appear in the special to speak about Burnett are Aileen Quinn, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Bob Mackie, Cher, Ellen DeGeneres, Julie Andrews, Kristin Wiig, Laura Dern, Lily Tomlin, Marisa Tomei, Sofia Vergara, Steve Carell, Susan Lucci, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Vicki Lawrence.

The announcement also notes that there will be musical performances featured in honor of Burnett, and this includes big names involved like Billy Porter, Katy Perry, Bernadette Peters, Jane Lynch, and Kristin Chenoweth. There will also be highlights of some of Burnett’s “funniest and most memorables moments” from different points in her career. That will obviously include plenty of moments from The Carol Burnett Show, while we can expect to see her other work mentioned, from her performances on Boradway to starring in movies like The Four Seasons and A Wedding.

Carol Burnett Is a Legend

In a statement further touting the special, NBCUniversal’s Television and Streaming Executive VP, Jen Neal, noted: “It’s hard to imagine anyone in television more beloved than Carol Burnett. To throw this wonderful birthday celebration is clearly our honor, and we can’t wait to share the love that we all have for her with all her adoring fans.”

It goes without saying that this is well-deserved. Burnett is one of TV’s most accomplished and beloved personalities that there’s ever been, having garnered a slew of Emmys and other awards during her career. She also continues to act on occasion, doing voiceover work for Toy Story 4 and appearing in the 2020 film All Together Now. Last year, Burnett also appeared in the final season of Better Call Saul in a more dramatic role to great acclaim. Fans also want her to serve as a host of Saturday Night Live with Burnett still going strong.

Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love will air on NBC on Wednesday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. You can stream the special starting on April 27 on Peacock.
