There’s a new iconic Batman: The Animated Series villain joining the ranks of those immortalized by top pop culture memorabilia and figure-makers, Mondo. Having already tackled several of the beloved animated Batman show’s antagonists, like Bane, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and Man-Bat, the acclaimed toy figure manufacturer is ready to show the public what’s next for the Batman: The Animated Series line. According to an IGN exclusive, Mondo revealed that it is adding the fan-favorite, shape-shifting character, Clayface, to their line of top-notch figures.
The beloved animated show is littered with famous voice-acting talent, including Kevin Conroy, Loren Lester, Paul Williams, Robin Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Bob Hastings, and Mark Hamill, to name a few. And now Ron Perlman’s Clayface is getting the attention he deserves with a carefully crafted and stunningly accurate figure from Mondo.
The new line of 1:6 scale figures allows fans of the animated series to display their favorite characters in various different poses and, in Clayface’s case, forms. The figure was impressively made with a semi-seamless joint design, in which the body covers an internal, ratcheting skeleton, allowing for ultimate posability.
With 13 extra pieces for the regular edition and an extra eight for the exclusive edition, the Clayface figure is one of Mondo’s most impressive figures to date. Of the 1500 units available for purchase, there are two different editions: the regular edition is priced at $260, while the exclusive edition is priced at $280, and for good reason. Not only does the exclusive edition come with the extra shape-shifted hands and weapons of the iconic villain’s design, but it also comes with even more impressive interchangeable pieces. These include an imitation portrait of Batman, a puddle of clay users can attach his head to look like the villain has been defeated, and, even more exciting, a piece that has the bat himself trying to climb out of Clayface’s chest. So sick!
Both versions are set to ship in July 2025. Batman: The Animated Series fans can preorder the regular edition, here, and preorder the exclusive edition, here.
An Exciting Future for Clayface in the New DCU
The new, stunning figure is coming at a perfect time in the monstrous character’s career. DC has already set a rapidly approaching release date of September 11, 2026, for the Clayface horror film with a script by Mike Flanagan (The Life of Chuck, The Haunting of Hill House). The upcoming movie does not yet have a director, but is still exciting to fans of the under-represented Batman villain.

Batman: TAS drew much of its material from the DC comic books, though it did take its own creative liberties. Especially when it came to villains.
While there was some talk of Clayface appearing in The Batman II, it seems that he might receive an even greater honor of being the first villain in the DCU to get their own solo film. Clayface is a perfect choice for a stand-alone film because of how rich his tragic story can be, not to mention the amount of visual effects that come with a master shape-shifter made of clay.
Fans might not get any more of Perlman’s comic-booky portrayal of the famous antagonist, but Mondo is here to make sure no one forgets the impressively malleable character.
