Extraordinary Attorney Woo star, Park Eun-bin, is currently in talks to star in the upcoming K-Drama series Diva of the Deserted Island.

In a recent South Morning China Post report, actress Park Eun-bin is currently in talks to star in a romantic comedy K-Drama series titled Diva of the Deserted Island (working title). So far, what we know of the series is that Park Eun-bin plays the protagonist character named Mok-ha. Mok-ha is described as a 15-year-old girl who aspires to become a professional singer. However, Mok-ha’s life is literally and figuratively turned upside down when she is suddenly carried away by a gust of wind and dumped on a barren island. After being rescued from the island fifteen years later, Mok-ha, now an adult, strives to assimilate into a society from which she has grown distant. Choong-hwan is reportedly directing the series with the screenwriter credited as Park Hye-run.

Park Eun-bin is an accomplished South Korean actress who has been in many hit films and television series such as Secretly, Greatly (2013), Hello My Twenties (2016-2017), Judge vs. Judge (2017-2018), The Ghost Detective (2018) and The King’s Affection (2021). In 2022, Eun-bin shot to fame, starring as the lovable and brilliant Woo Young-wo in the mega-hit Netflix aired series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The show centered around Woo Young-wo and her life as a person with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It also followed Woo as she worked on complex cases as an attorney for a top law firm. Yoo In-shik directed the series, and Moon Ji-won penned the script.
If Park Eun-Bin accepts the role of Mok-ha, Diva of the Deserted Island will reportedly begin production before the second season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo begins filming.

Netflix’s hit drama series Extraordinary Attorney Woo has been nominated for Best Foreign Language Series at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. According to Forbes, Extraordinary Attorney Woo will compete with other noteworthy contenders in the Best Foreign Language series category, including 1899, Kleo and Borgen, Garcia!, My Brilliant Friend, and Tehran.
The American Canadian Critics Choice Association hosts the Critics’ Choice Awards each year to recognize the best in cinema. This year’s celebration of the most noteworthy television shows and films will air on Jan. 13 on the CW Plus network. The ceremony will be hosted this year by comedian Chelsea Handler.
If Extraordinary Attorney Woo wins at the CCA’s, it will add to its impressive list of awards. So far, EAW has won many awards, including at the APAN Star Awards, in which the series won Best Writer and the Popularity Star award for actress in a miniseries for its star Park-Eun bin. EAW also won Best Actress and Best Content at the Busan International Film Festival in 2022.
