Years later, O’Neill would pick up another iconic sitcom role when he was cast as Jay Pritchett on the ABC comedy series Modern Family. The role would earn O’Neill an additional three Emmy Award nominations and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for being a part of the ensemble cast. He appeared in the role for all eleven seasons between 2009 to 2020. Additionally, he is also known for his roles in various movies like Wayne’s World, Little Giants, and Wreck It Ralph.
