Superman & Lois is an American superhero drama television series on The CW. The series was developed by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti, which had its series premiere in February 2021. The series is based on the DC Comics characters Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch star as the title characters, while the series takes place in the Arrowverse. Superman & Lois shares continuity with several other television series on The CW. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season received an approval rating of 88% based on a total of 41 reviews, with an average rating of 7.8/10. It was also very well-received with DC fans.

Ian Bohen’s character, Lt. Mitch Anderson, was originally created by Dan Jurgens during “The Death of Superman” storyline. While there’s no indication that the upcoming second season will follow this exact storyline, it is rumored that Lt. Mitch Anderson resents that the Man of Steel exists outside his personal philosophy, and will make an attempt to bring Superman under the DOD’s authority. Ian Bohen is currently a regular on the Paramount Network’s television series Yellowstone, and will be making his return as Peter Hale on the recently announced Teen Wolf feature film. Lt. Mitch Anderson’s debut will be the second time that Dan Jurgens’ created character has been brought into the Arrowverse. Jurgens’ first character debut that was brought into the Arrowverse took place during Supergirl’s fourth season with the antihero known as, Agent Liberty.

Season 2 of Superman & Lois is currently in production, which began on September 15, 2021. The entire first season is currently available for streaming on HBO Max. There are no further details pertaining the storyline for the upcoming second season at this time. While there is also no official premiere date for Superman & Lois season two, it is expected that the Arrowverse series will return sometime in early 2022. This news was first reported by Deadline.
