Acclaimed actress Jamie Lee Curtis is a big fan of One Piece, and everyone would love to see her on the show.

Despite having failed with Cowboy Bebop and Death Note, Netflix wants to continue trying to bring popular anime to its screen and will soon do so with productions such as One Piece and Avatar: The Last Airbender, among others.
Recently, the streaming platform revealed the first look at the One Piece adaptation, confirming that it will arrive this year. The cast has already been confirmed, with Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibbs as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs, Paulino as Alvida, McKinley Blecher as Arlong, Jeff Ward as Buggy, Vincent Regan as Garp, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Jean Henry as Fullbody, Len-Barry Simons as Chew, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Steven Ward as Mihawk, Craig Fairbrass as Chef Zeff, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots as Kaya and Chioma Umeala as Nojiko.
But there’s always room for someone else, especially if it’s Jamie Lee Curtis. The acclaimed actress has declared herself a fan of the anime, and it seems the cast wants her to join. Or at least Emily Rudd, who expressed her desire to work with Curtis in the adaptation (courtesy of One Piece Netflix Fan):
In fact, Curtis’s daughter started a campaign for her to play a character named Kurega, so she still has a chance to be a part of the project in the future.

One Piece was born as a manga written and drawn by Eiichiro Oda, first published on July 19, 1997, in Shonen Jump magazine. As for the anime, it is one of the most popular shows in the world, not to mention one of the longest-running anime series with 1,000 episodes.
The story follows Monkey D. Luffy, inspired by Shanks, a pirate who saved his life, to become the Pirate King. At the beginning of the series, twenty-four years before the current story, a pirate named Gol D. Roger, known as the Pirate King, was executed, but before his death, he told the crowd of his treasure, the One Piece. His words unleashed what would be known as “The Great Age of Piracy”; countless pirates set out to search for the treasure causing significant problems for the World Government. Monkey D. Luffy becomes one of them, wishing to be the next Pirate King, and sets out to gather crew mates and begin his adventures.
