An actor who portrayed one of the most memorable zombies from The Walking Dead has passed away. Moses Moseley, who played one of Michonne’s “pet walkers,” was reportedly found dead in the Hudson Bridge area of Stockbridge, Georgia, where the bridge covers a freeway. Per TMZ, police are currently investigating Moseley’s death as a possible suicide. He was 31 years old.
Moseley’s family grew concerned about him when no one had heard from him since last Sunday. They reportedly called different hospitals hoping to locate him before filing a missing person’s report on Wednesday morning. The next action was contacting OnStar, which managed to track down his car to the area where Moseley’s body was discovered. A family member says Moseley died of an apparent gunshot wound, but police are still working to definitively determine if it was Moses himself who pulled the trigger.

Moses Moseley Was Best Known For His Role on The Walking Dead
EW
Moses Moseley appeared on The Walking Dead in six episodes as Mike, one of two friends of Michonne (Danai Gurira) that she had kept as “walker pets” after their deaths. Because Michonne had removed their arms and jaws, these zombies had grown docile, serving as camouflage as they accompanied the survivor. There have been countless walkers to come and go throughout the eleven seasons of the series, but every fan still very much remembers Michonne’s pet walkers. At the time, Moseley had also been featured on the cover of a 2012 issue of Entertainment Weekly.
“It was amazing,” Moses previously said of getting the Walking Dead gig in an interview with We Are Indie Horror. “It was actually the fourth thing I ever did in my career. Just getting a chance to get on the show, I was blown away. At the time I didn’t know what the show was or anything about it. After I did my part and filmed with them, I actually went back and watched the previous seasons and I was instantly hooked. I think it’s still the best show on television. From the cast to the crew everybody is so professional. It was awesome and down to earth and they would really make you happy to be there.”
Along with appearing in the AMC zombie drama, Moseley had roles in various films like Joyful Noise, Trouble with the Curve, The Internship, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories, Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies, and Doll Murder Spree. His other TV work includes roles in The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, American Soul, Queen of the South, and Watchmen.
Our thoughts are with Moseley’s family and friends at this time. Rest in peace, Moses Moseley.
