A second season of Wednesday is currently in development at Netflix, but as of now, no details have been revealed about what will happen in season 2. At this time, all fans can really do is speculate, and that’s led to different fan theories floating around online. Some of them have managed to make some traction, and they were addressed in a new video featuring some cast members of the show. The pre-recorded video was screened at Netflix’s TUDUM event in Brazil, and the clip has since made its way online. The video features Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), and Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), and you can watch it below.

“Wednesday season 2 is being worked on right now, and the storyline is so top secret, even we don’t know what’s going to happen,” Myers says at the start of the video.
In the clip, some theories addressed include asking if someone would inherit Crackstone’s powers after finding the ring, if Wednesday would have some sort of power of Tyler to turn him into a “pet” in season2, and if Professor Weems (Gwendoline Christie) is really dead. The cast members also comment on the news that season 2 of Wednesday will introduce a “new member of the Addams family,” unable to say which character it might be but take their best guesses based on the previous adaptations of The Addams Family.
“I would love to see Cousin Itt,” Ortega says, while Myers, Doohan, and Sunday all say they hope it’s Grandmama.

Ortega has also teased previously how the new season will have a darker vibe compared to season 1. She has said that the romantic storylines will be taking a backseat with more of a focus put on the horror of Wednesday.
“I think we want to up the horror aspect a little bit, and then get Wednesday out of the romantic situation, and just let her be her own individual and fight her own crime,” she said on The Tonight Show.
“As far as love interests go for Wednesday, I feel like at least for a second season, she needs to take her season of singleness,” Myers also said in a separate interview with Variety. “She just had a whole fiasco with her men, she’s got to lay it off for a little bit. I would be deterred from dating anybody if I had gone through that.”
Ortega will also be taking on a larger role with the production of the second season. It’s been revealed that she will be serving as a producer as well, taking on a more hands-on approach with the upcoming episodes. She previously said how she had to put her foot down with some moments that were written in the script and that may have led to taking on this bigger role for season 2.
The first season of Wednesday is streaming on Netflix. Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date.
