WWE Network Moves to Peacock This Month, Will Stream WrestleMania in April

WWE Network will officially be moving to the NBCUniversal-owned streamer Peacock on March 18, just in time for this year’s WrestleMania. Once the switch is made, a plethora of WWE content will be made available to stream at launch, though it won’t include the entire library that’s currently on WWE Network. Peacock will continually add new content to the library over the next several months, with plans to completely move over the entire archive before SummerSlam this fall.

At launch, fans will have plenty of content to watch while WWE and NBCUniversal work to flesh out the rest of the library. To start with, fans will be able to stream every WWE PPV event in the last calendar year; current or most recent season episodes of WWE original series Steve Austin’s The Broken Skull Sessions, WWE Chronicle, and WWE Icons; in-ring action with new weekly episodes of NXT and replays of RAW and SmackDown; various groundbreaking documentaries like Undertaker: The Last Ride; and featured series showcasing current WWE Superstars.

The movie to Peacock can be seen as a tremendous win for WWE fans. At the very least, they won’t be paying any more than they were to subscribe to WWE Network, but now they’ll also have access to the entire Peacock library of content. The free tier will offer limited programming, while the Peacock Premium tier at $4.99 will offer access to all WWE content, including all PPVs such as WrestleMania 37 in April. This is a $5.00 savings from what fans were paying for the Network, though they can still opt to pay the same price at $9.99 for the ad-free experience.

With WWE Network starting the move on March 18, the streaming service will be on Peacock just days before the company’s next PPV, Fastlane. That event is scheduled to go down on March 21. WrestleMania 37 will follow just a few weeks later on April 10-11, showcasing the very best performers of the company competing for the top championships at the grandest stage of them all. Peacock subscribers will now be able to watch these programs with no extra cost beyond their $4.99 monthly fee, and it’s insane to think about the savings that this will bring. We’ve come an awful long way from spending over $60 a month on wrestling PPVs.

The winner of the match between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Fastlane will determine who goes on to face Edge in the main event for the title at WrestleMania 37. Also featured on the card is a WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match between current holder Sasha Banks and challenger Biana Belair. Both Edge and Belair had earned their title shots at the PPV by winning their respective Royal Rumble matches in January.

WWE Network will officially go dark on April 4, after which point all subscribers will need to sign up for Peacock to keep watching. Fortunately, Peacock has also launched another option for wrestling fans to save with a WWE Universe deeper savings plan for a limited time.
