Warning: Simon Pegg reveals minor spoilers for The Boys season 4The upcoming fourth season of The Boys will be bringing back Simon Pegg as the timid father of Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), and the actor has shed some new details on his involvement in the upcoming episodes. In previous seasons, Pegg’s Hugh Campbell Sr. has had a fairly limited presence. He appeared several times in the first season, but after going totally absent in season 2, he only appeared in season 3 for a brief cameo, appearing in a Zoom call with his son. Pegg previously confirmed that he would be back in the fourth season.
In a new interview with Collider, Pegg addressed what fans can expect in season 4. While he can’t divulge any specific information about what will happen with Hughie Campbell Sr. or other characters, he divulged that he’ll have more of a presence this season than he did in the past two. The actor also touched on working with Jack Quaid and Rose DeWitt while further teasing the “sick” nature of season 4.

“I can tease – you know how crazy The Boys is? It’s going to get crazier,” Pegg explained. “I had so much fun on that show and it was great to go back and play Hugh Sr. I love Jack, and it was great to work with Rose DeWitt, who plays Hughie’s mom, who’s also come back. It’s going to be great, and you’re going to love it. I’m in about four episodes and it was a joy to be back. It’s a great crew and that show is sick as f***.”
Pegg announced that he wrapped his work on season 4 back in January. At that time, he shared an image fo the Vought Studios logo from the set while also teasing how the new season was going to be even crazier than the first three.
“That’s a wrap for me on this season of [The Boys],” Pegg said. “More fun than a Compound V enema. So proud to be part of this incredible show. Will miss everyone. Season 4 is going to be INSANE!!!”
