The best front-row moment of New York Fashion Week wasn’t on a runway. It was on a leash.
Barkhouse, an elevated dog daycare concept in Chelsea, hosted the industry’s first-ever Dog Fashion Week, featuring designer pop-ups and culminating in an exclusive runway show presented by Fetch Pet Insurance and Maev.
The energy matched NYFW, but the runway was a 50-foot lush green garden designed by Ariana Grande + Kacey Musgraves’ set designer, Theresa Rivera. The models were dog-and-human duos styled by viral vintage dealer, Gianna Corvino of The NY Archive.
After four-days of dedicated onsite activations, the runway finale on Saturday, September 12, 2026, comprised of a charity auction in support of Muddy Paws Rescue, a custom dog lounge provided by Lola Blankets, pet portraiture courtesy of renowned photographer Jesse Ditmar, a canine refreshment bar hosted by Maev, and an exclusive preview of Fetch Pet Insurance’s inaugural Scarfs for Arfs™ philanthropic collection, inspired by the artistry of James Taffin de Givenchy, Josie Natori, Irene Neuwirth, and Stefania Pramma’s dog collars created for charity, 100% benefiting shelter pets at North Shore Animal League America.

New York Fashion Week’s Furriest Finale
The runway brought a distinctly New York sense of style to dog parenthood, with vintage-inspired looks and elevated accessories styled for both ends of the leash. The lush green runway was framed by a wall of greenery, plants, and vines, creating a garden setting that gave the four-legged models plenty of room to make their entrance. Among the standout duos was Grace Foster in a bright pink fuzzy coat and signature pink glasses alongside her Chihuahua in a pastel pink ensemble finished with a pearl leash. Former Miss New York, Brianca Siaca, and her pup closed the show in coordinated looks featuring Fetch Pet’s Scarfs for Arfs.

Another undeniably chic highlight was the first look at Fetch Pet’s Scarfs for Arfs™ collection of 100% silk scarves on the model-dog duos down the runway. The piece’s design was inspired by the artistry of James Taffin de Givenchy, Josie Natori, Irene Neuwirth, and Stefania Pramma’s dog collars created for charity, extending that hand-crafted aesthetic into a wearable symbol of support for pets in need. The scarf was created as a thank-you gift for donations of $100 or more to North Shore Animal League America, one of the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organizations in the country. Every purchase helps fashionably fund the next rescue.

Barkhouse: The celebration of modern dog parenthood
Opening less than a year ago, Barkhouse has become a community hub for New York City dog parents, built around the belief that dogs deserve the same thoughtfulness and hospitality their owners expect for themselves. Their Dog Fashion Week finale was a prime testament to their mission of extending the design-forward, hospitality-led standard its members hold for themselves to the dogs they love most. Hopefully this Dogwalk was a preview of what’s to come for dog fashion as a category, with more adorably chic, dedicated fashion moments ahead for pet parents.
