The two-time defending World Series champions made another massive statement Thursday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers landed Kyle Tucker in free agency, the four-time All-Star outfielder confirmed on Instagram.
Tucker agreed to a four-year, $240-million contract, sources told Robert Murray of FanSided.

The deal includes opt-out clauses after the second and third years, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Tucker’s pact includes $30 million in deferrals, reports Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
The contract also has a $64-million signing bonus, which includes $54 million up front, a source told Jesse Rogers of ESPN.
The 28-year-old’s reported average annual value of $60 million will be the second highest in baseball, trailing only new teammate Shohei Ohtani. However, when factoring the deferrals, Tucker’s $57.1-million AAV will beat Juan Soto’s previous record of $51 million, according to Rosenthal.
Tucker, who was widely considered the top available free agent, reportedly met with the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets before picking the Dodgers. The Mets’ final offer was $220 million over four years, according to Will Sammon of The Athletic, who adds that New York’s proposed pact didn’t contain deferrals and had a $75-million signing bonus. It’s believed the Blue Jays were the only team willing to do a long-term contract, but details of their offer haven’t been reported.
Los Angeles has now added Tucker and All-Star closer Edwin Díaz this offseason in an attempt to become the first team to win three straight titles since the New York Yankees from 1998-2000.
The Dodgers paid a record luxury tax of $169.4 million in 2025 before having another huge winter.
