Halle Bailey, one half of the iconic R&B music duo Chloe x Halle and a rising movie star, has been making a name for herself for some time now. Between her leading roles in Disney’s live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid” and the upcoming “The Color Purple” movie musical, plus a forthcoming debut solo album, Bailey is keeping her plate full. Usher posted pictures on his Instagram Story of the couple together backstage after the concert ended, tagging their handles in the post. Romance rumors swirled afterward, but the two didn’t go public with their relationship until a few weeks later, and in the sweetest way.

On March 27, 2022, DDG confirmed his rumored romance with Bailey in a since-deleted Instagram post by wishing her a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday to the beautifulest, the flyest, the sweetest ❤️ love you forever,” he wrote in a caption alongside a series of their selfies and a video of him putting an iced-out chain on the singer.
