Who are the MLB Favourites to Win?

The MLB season is underway, and teams are already clamouring for the World Series title. It is one of the most electrifying seasons, and it attracts fans from all over the world. Like you have your favourites, betting sites equally have their odds drawn up which team has the higher winning probability. But, of course, these ratings are subject to change anytime, depending on the respective teams’ performance.

Several fans and bettors are still uncertain about the favourites for this season. It is still a long way ahead; however, it is still possible to draw up potential winners from the start of the season. And as you read on, you will find information about who could emerge on top at the end of the season.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the unlikely favourites to win the World Series. It is quite surprising as they lost some key players like Max Scherzer, Corey Seager and Corey Knebel earlier. However, it was unavoidable as they were part of free agency.

Losing some good players did not mean they did not have what it takes to compete. The Dodgers opened as early favourites in most bookies. After 20 games, they come in second in the National League West division, only behind the San Francisco Giants, who have played one game more than them.

The Dodgers have put on one of the best player combinations to compete this season. They have the well-known pitcher Clayton Kershaw and were also able to sign the Braves star, Freddie Freeman.

Will Atlanta Braves Be Able To Put Up a Fight Again?

MLB regulars will know that the Braves claimed the 2021 World Series after putting up a show in the division. It was the team’s fourth-ever, and they won it in a dominating fashion. However, many fans are perplexed if it is a one-season wonder or if the team could clinch two in a row.

If we were to rank the favourites, they would feature in the top ten. In their first 22 games of the season, they were able to get ten wins with 12 losses. Many fans would quickly write them off, but remember that we have not reached half of the season. It is still a long way ahead, and they could still have some tricks up their sleeves before the middle of the season.

They also have some great players to push their success. And although they had to let go of Freddie Freeman, they still have dominant players like Ian Anderson, Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, Max Fried and several others.

Which Other Teams Are Putting Up a Fight For the Top Spot?

We can’t help but notice a couple of other teams doing enough to put them in the spotlight. The Toronto Blue Jays are one to keep an eye on. They have 14 wins in their first 22 games, only behind the Yankees in the American League East division.

You don’t need to look at their lineup twice to know that it is one of the best in MLB. They have stars like Bo Bichette, George Springer, Vladimir Guerrero Jr, and several other top players. To cover up additional weaknesses, the team were still able to acquire Matt Chapman, a solid player on his own.

The Chicago White Sox are teams that are on everyone’s radar. They strongly finished the 2021 season and strongly clinched the American League West division with 95 wins. Fast forward to the 2022 season, and they have 11 wins in their first 21 games, which is one to keep an eye on. And with a couple of MVP candidates on their team, they would be looking to put on a show.
