  • Lady Gaga’s Potential Cameo in Wednesday Season 2 Teased by Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega expresses optimism for Lady Gaga’s appearance in Wednesday season 2: “I’m sure Netflix would love that.”

Lady Gaga has been a household name since she burst onto the music scene more than a decade ago. But one of her songs, “Bloody Mary,” just made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to a TikTok trend. The trend exploded after the song was remixed to set the scene in Episode 4 of Netflix’s Wednesday – a show that has quickly become a smash hit. The dance scene in the show was choreographed by leading star Jenna Ortega, who has since become a TikTok sensation. In an interview with Variety, she was asked about the possibility of Lady Gaga appearing in the upcoming second season of Wednesday during the Official Digital Pre-Show for the Golden Globes and said, “I’m sure Netflix would love that.”

Millions of TikTok users created their own versions of Ortega’s signature dance, setting it to Gaga’s song and making it go viral. As if that wasn’t enough, Gaga even got in on the trend, creating her own version of the dance on social media. The combination of the show and the TikTok trend has made “Bloody Mary” a hit on the charts, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s a powerful, catchy pop track that fits perfectly with the show’s dark themes. Jenna Ortega discussed Gaga’s reaction to the performance and the likelihood of Gaga performing in the show’s second season.

“It’s really strange. You know what’s funny? A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser that worked with Gaga and I just had seen Gaga in concert a few years before. [The hairdresser got] Gaga [to make] me a video saying she heard I was a fan. Gaga made me a sweet video. I doubt she remembers. But to see her to do that now…it’s one of those moments you realize life changes really fast. If Lady Gaga were to be a part of it, they’d have to be two monsters who understand each other.”

Netflix

After weeks of speculation and anticipation, the streaming platform has finally confirmed that Wednesday will indeed be returning for a second season. This news comes as a relief to many fans of the show, who had grown increasingly concerned that the series would suffer the same fate as many other Netflix shows that had been canceled after just one season.

The show, which follows the story of Wednesday Addams, the daughter of the infamous Addams family, has only been out for a few weeks but has already become a fan favorite. Viewers have praised the show’s unique take on the classic Addams family lore and its darkly humorous tone. The show has also been praised for its stellar casting, with its lead, Jenna Ortega, delivering a fantastic performance in the titular role. The show’s other stars, including Christina Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Gwendoline Christie, have also been praised for their performances.

Though the release date for the second season has yet to be announced, fans can rest assured that Wednesday will be returning for another installment. The first season of Wednesday is streaming now on Netflix.
