Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is already being seen as a big movie, but does that come with some big Avengers cameos?
Marvel Studios
The Marvel Cinematic Universe reached a peak with Avengers: Endgame, and after every insurmountable high, there has to be a lull. Phase 4 was Kevin Feige’s masterstroke breather that allowed audiences to come down from the high of Endgame and curb expectations of every subsequent movie attempting to be bigger. While this did not stop fans from wildly speculating about every Phase 4 project being a potentially huge, epic story, now that Phase 5 is here, Paul Rudd has been building up fans to start expecting more once again.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania arrives in cinemas in just under a month, and as well as the first MCU appearances of MODOK and Jonathan Majors’ all-powerful Kang The Conqueror, Rudd has been teasing some other potential MCU cameos in the movie. One thing that is certain is that this will be the biggest Ant-Man movie to date, both in scope and, potentially, box office results. While being interviewed for Fandango, Rudd touched on the movie’s important cameos, teasing:
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
“For people that are aware, I think, we have some good ones in there. Some really good ones. I’m obviously not going to tell you what they are, but I think the ones that people find out about or learn about will be a 10.”
Naturally, this will set fans on the never-ending wild goose chase around every possible Marvel character who could make an appearance. That could mean the same kind of over-the-top guessing that led to a bit of disappointment with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, with only a month to go until the movie’s release, we don’t have too long to wait to find out.

Does Quantumania Have a Direct Link to Shang-Chi and The Marvels?
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
One big fan theory could connect Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania directly to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and, in turn, The Marvels. The post-credit scene of Shang-Chi’s first MCU outing saw fan–favorite Wong partaking in a bit of karaoke, but not until after he revealed that Shang-Chi’s Ten Rings were sending a beacon somewhere far away. After the Quantumania trailer was released, one scene of Scott Lang negotiating his way through something that looked very similar to Wong’s visual display of the Ten Rings’ beacon had fans sure that the beacon was being sent into the Quantum Realm, where Kang is trapped.
It had already been suggested that the Ten Rings are connected to the space-manipulating bangle worn by Ms. Marvel, which was seen swapping the young heroine with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel in the final shot of Ms. Marvel. With the additional note that Shang-Chi’s second movie will have the subtitle of The Wreckage of Time, it is certainly a compelling theory that could have serious ramifications for the MCU’s future.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is released worldwide on Feb. 17, 2023.
