The Bear Poster Reveals Season 2 Premiere Date

An official poster has been released for the second season of The Bear. The poster features a new look at the upcoming season with Jeremy Allen White front and center, offering a freshly prepared meal at his busy restaurant. Also showcased on the poster are the other stars of the acclaimed series, the characters doing their part in keeping everything running smoothly at the Chicago eatery. Notably, the poster also unveils the premiere date for season 2 of the show announcing that all episodes will start streaming on Hulu starting on June 22, 2023. You can view the poster below.

Christopher Storer created the series. Along with White (Shameless) in the lead role, the series also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher), Ayo Edebiri (Big Mouth), Lionel Boyce (The Jellies), Lisa Colon-Zayas (Cat Person), and Abby Elliott (Saturday Night Live). Recurring stars include Matty Matheson (Dead Set on Life), Chris Witaske (Love), and Oliver Platt (Ready to Rumble), while notable guest stars have also been featured like Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Joel McHale (Community), and Molly Ringwald (Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story). The Bear picks up with a talented young chef, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (White), returning home to Chicago to keep his family’s sandwich shop up and running when his brother dies by suicide, leaving behind a tanking restaurant and a mountain of debt. With the help of his staff, Carmy does all he can to keep the doors open, despite the many challenges that come with this new and unexpected job.

The Bear Was an Instant Hit

FX

The first season of The Bear debuted in the summer of 2022. Its viewership was high, with FX touting the show as the most watched comedy series in its history. Better yet, the reviews couldn’t have been any better for the show, as it pulled in a perfect score of 100% with its approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes. The audience score isn’t too far behind at 91%, making it nearly unanimous that The Bear is an excellent show.

The Bear has also found success with its awards earned. White won a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on the show. The actor also won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy TV Series. Going for the hat trick, White would also nab a Screen Actors Guild award for his performance as a male actor in a comedy series. This year’s nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards haven’t yet been announced, but it’d be surprising if The Bear isn’t well recognized at that event as well.

The first season of The Bear can be found streaming on Hulu. Meanwhile, you can look forward to the second season arriving this summer, as season 2 of The Bear is set to premiere on June 22, 2023.
