Terrifier 3 Will Have a Bigger Budget & Bigger Kills
Bloody Disgusting
While Terrifier 2 was produced on a budget of just $250,000, and featured a plethora of gore for horror fans to revel in, Terrifier 3 will see its budget increased to seven-figures, and see Leone push the boundaries of blood even further. In the press release, the director was quoted as saying:
“In a cinematic landscape where risk-taking is scarce, I will continue to push boundaries in Terrifier 3, and I can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for Art the Clown.”
Continuing the sentiment, the managing editor of Bloody Disgusting, Brad Miska, said:
“Terrifier 3 is going to have nastier kills, a bigger budget and an even crazier storyline.”
Audiences have already come to expect a lot of carnage from the Terrifier franchise, but with Terrifier 3, Damien Leone has promised that the first five minutes of the film will be some of the most controversial in its brief history. Based on the teaser trailer, it seems as if nobody is off limits for Art the Clown, including children.
Terrifier 3 will see the return of David Howard Thornton portraying Art the Clown, as well as Lauren LaVera, who quickly became a fan-favorite for her portrayal of Sienna Shaw, the chief protagonist in Terrifier 2. While a full synopsis has yet to be revealed, we do know that the third installment will see Leone return in tone to what made the first film a success.
Though Terrifier 2 left fans with more questions than answers, the director has revealed that he intends to provide insight into some of the events of the second installment, including why Sienna’s deceased father has a sketchbook that included drawings of Art the Clown.
