Bryan Adams has offered a scoop to his U.K. fans. The Canadian rock maestro has given intimate gigs to mark the release of his soon-to-be-released 16th studio album, Roll With The Punches, on August 29. These intimate gigs will feature songs from the new album, and some will be performed live for the very first time.

The gig series will commence on the 30th of August in Leeds at the Brudenell Social Club, concluding on the 3rd of September in Kingston. What else really adds extra icing to these shows? That phone recording ban provides each concert with its own brand of uniqueness. These special album/ticket bundles can be bought in selected record store outlets.
In an informal video, Adams enthusiastically announced the news and gave the names of the U.K. tour cities. His infectious enthusiasm led him to urge everyone to “come on roll with the punches” for promotion of the new album. In that trademark raspy voice, a rock legend held his excitement in such regard that he made the invitation feel so personal, almost as if one would invite friends to a private party rather than making a formal announcement for a tour.
Reaction and viewership exploded with worldwide concert reviewers. Many UK-based fans were excited for the concerts and time slots, while followers abroad stormed the comment section with requests for dates in their countries. “Bryan, please make a date for India too,” pleaded a fan from India! Another, from Turkey, followed: “When are you coming back to Turkey? We miss you.” There was demand, with fans from Argentina, Brazil, Japan, and Canada all chiming in for ttheir own countries.
Some followers expressed their disappointment at not being able to attend, claiming “Exciting news, but I can’t make it (as usual),” followed by a winky emoticon that might have meant this was not the first time for them. Others took the opportunity to voice their wish list, one of which hoped to hear the track “Please Forgive Me” in the Czech Republic later this month.
The no phone policy became a huge topic, another fan said: “Surely Kingston will be prism,” alluding to Adams’ big hit and maybe insinuating that the intimate ads would keep the magic alive for the fans. And as always, a reference to a previous gig popped up with, “You were fabulous in Tilburg-Nederlands (as always, I know…). Simply put: his live show is unforgettable.”
An intriguing account says he had just stopped listening to “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” and went to Instagram and saw Adams’ post first. Good timing, what? Meanwhile, another fan left a comment in Portuguese that means “I really like the song Heaven, the song of my past,” showing how Adams’ music crosses generations and continents.
Almost all of the comments came in either with eagerness or as a plea for tour dates. One comment gained notoriety for its creative spin. Connor Adams, a fellow musician, wrote, “Ahhhhhh can I support you on these dates!!?? I am a fellow Adams…” with hopes of opening for the show.

As comments came in from all around the globe, it was shouting loud and clear that while the UK shows may be relatively tiny and intimate, Bryan Adams’ fanbase is really big and global. That very overwhelming response for this Canadian rock legend will undoubtedly prove one thing-he truly knows how to keep the conversation going all these years. Will these intimate phone-free shows ever make it to their own countries? Time will tell, but what we do know is when Bryan Adams announces tour dates, the whole world listens.
