Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 1-12-26 Suggest More Contrived Drama On The Way For Javi and Leo

Why, Days of Our Lives?

This Javi/Leo/Dmitri story has already been ridiculous enough without making Leo into yet another man who can’t resist the allure of an ex.

Javi practically pushed Leo into Dmitri’s arms for no reason whatsoever, and now Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 1-12-26 suggest that the newlyweds are going to end up even more estranged over it.

This Leo Story Only Works If We Conveniently Ignore The Facts

Days of Our Lives has this bad habit of forcing ideas on the audience that contradict what is actually shown on screen, and this story is one of the worst examples.

The soap constantly changes stories in the middle and expects the audience not to remember what came before.

Ever since Dmitri reappeared, the writers have been working overtime to convince the audience that Leo’s clear declarations that he wants Javi, not Dmitri, are all lies and that he’s confused and torn between two men.

It’s pure gaslighting, and worse, it’s ruined Javi’s character.

Javi decided for no reason whatsoever that the man he just married didn’t want to be with him and consistently rejected Leo, insisting that he visit Dmitri to prove his love and loyalty.

In real life, a man who demanded this before filing the marriage certificate would quickly find himself alone while his almost-husband realized he’d dodged a bullet. Assuming that anyone had any self-respect, that is.

But here, Leo went along with this absurd demand, only for Dmitri to totally ignore his boundaries and plant a non-consensual kiss on Leo.

And now, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 1-12-26 suggest that Leo will, at the very least, not resist very hard.

It’s possible that nothing will happen but Dmitri will try to turn it into something (or Gwen will, because she can’t stop trying to ruin Leo’s happiness.)

But either way, the spoiler video shows Leo asking Gwen to make Dmitri disappear, suggesting that even if he stays with Javi, he’ll go back to his old ways.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

No. Just… no.

It’s bad enough that we have that toxic pattern with Xander and Sarah. We don’t need it with the only gay couple in Salem, especially since Javi had to be twisted all out of shape to make this ridiculous story work.

A spoiler later in the week says that Javi receives troubling news — but if it’s from Dmitri or Gwen and he doesn’t take that with a huge grain of salt, I’m going to be even more frustrated with this ridiculous storyline.

Meanwhile, Will The Writers Ever Call Sophia’s Behavior What It Is?

Sophia asks Rachel for a favor, and then the spoilers say the two plot together.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

It’s incredibly annoying that the show phrases it this way when that’s not what’s happening.

Sophia is 18, pretending to be catatonic with everyone but Rachel, and love bombing Rachel to get her to comply with her plans.

That doesn’t mean Rachel is incapable of making better choices, but it does make it harder because she’s being manipulated by a much older girl while in a vulnerable state because of her psychological issues.

Do you think Rachel is equally to blame for whatever she and Sophia get involved in?

Things go from bad to worse on Days of Our Lives during the week of 1-12-26 when Sophia convinces Rachel to steal money for her.

Jeremy goes to Bayview to talk to Rachel, most likely to encourage her, and it would really suck if Sophia talks Rachel into stealing from one of the few adults who is on her side.

Ari Sees Sophia Out And About, But This Story Is Far From Over

The only silver lining to this story is that Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 1-12-26 say that Ari sees Sophia walking around Salem.

I don’t know how Sophia got away with going to Buddy’s Burger Barn without being recognized by anybody, but this time it’s different. Better late than never, I guess.

Still, I doubt that’s the end of the story.

Most likely, Sophia will keep walking, and if Ari doesn’t assume she’s mistaken, other people will help convince her.

(Peacock/Screenshot)

What I’d really love is for Kristen to go to Bayview and see through Sophia’s act.

Kristen may be a master manipulator who it’s hard to root for most of the time, but Sophia’s scheming is no match for hers.

It would be fun for Kristen to put Sophia in her place, and it would totally make sense for her — she’s so protective of her daughter that she went to prison in her place, so why wouldn’t she squash Sophia like a bug?

Sadly, Kristen is busy trying to find a way to get revenge on EJ rather than learning anything from the ordeal with Peter.

That’s disappointing enough without this Days of Our Lives spoiler about her convincing Sarah of something — probably that Sarah should stay away from Brady for Rachel’s sake. Ugh.

There are also a few other random Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 1-12-26.

Maggie and Sarah will both confront Xander while Sarah and Brady get closer thanks to Xander’s manipulations.

Additionally, Johnny and Chanel’s conflict will escalate, with Chanel confiding in Theo.

There’s a lot going on in Salem — what do you think about it all?
