Julie Andrews, 91, was spotted for the first time in months during a rare outing in the Hamptons.
According to photos obtained by Page Six, the “Sound of Music” star, who just turned 91 earlier this month, was photographed being helped out of a vehicle last Friday.
Andrews dressed casually for the outing, wearing a lilac colored jacket and a white baseball cap.
She paired her look with a pair of pink-shaded sunglasses.
It’s the first time the Oscar winner has been seen since announcing she was doing fewer on-camera jobs after nearly eight decades of acting.
“I’m not completely retired, but it’s a different kind of work that I do these days — [writing] books, and I do a lot of recording of podcasts and voiceovers,” she told the Hollywood Reporter in August.
In the same interview, Andrews confirmed she would not be returning for the third installment of “The Princess Diaries.”
“I think the absolute truth is that I think I’m really past all that now,” the “Mary Poppins” star told the outlet.
“It isn’t that I’m not enthusiastic for it. It’s just that I really don’t feel I should be part of it now,” she explained.
In the 2001 film “The Princess Diaries,” Andrews portrays Mia Thermopolis’ (played by Anne Hathaway) onscreen distant grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi, the queen of Genovia.
Thermopolis is a teenage girl who learns she is the heir to Genovia’s throne.
In July, Hathaway, 43, revealed that the script for the third movie in the franchise is still in the works.
“The script that we were working on — we kind of had to start over with this new direction, which is not the update I think anybody wants — but we all feel really good that this is gonna be the one,” the “Devil Wears Prada” actress told Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio show at the time.
