Cardi B was in a style class all her own at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show at Paris Fashion Week on July 3. The “WAP” rapper stunned in an outfit from the Italian fashion house that even Schiaparelli dubbed “Cardi Couture” on Instagram. Wearing a head-to-toe black ensemble accented with bold gold jewelry, Cardi turned heads thanks in part to her oversized, feathery black jacket.
While it was hard to look away from her scene-stealing jacket, Cardi looked equally glam when she removed it to reveal a form-fitting, sleeveless black dress with just a touch of gold detailing at the bust and a corset back that included two rows of buttons. She accessorized her outfit with a black head wrap (a Schiaparelli staple), two stacks of golden bangles, and gold earrings in the shape of human ears. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, her earrings had their own earrings in the form of several pearl embellishments.
Cardi’s showstopping look should come as no surprise to her fans. While many know her best as a rapper and businesswoman, she’s also a budding fashion icon. Whether she’s wowing fans at the Met Gala or wearing brightly-colored catsuits, the mom of two is never shy about trying (and making) new trends. At the 2023 Grammys, Cardi wore a gown that was on the Paris Fashion Week runway just five days before she took it for a spin on the red carpet.
