Outdoor Voices One Shoulder Exercise Dress Review

My adoration for skorts knows no bounds. If I can avoid having my thighs rub together during hot summer days, I will take up the opportunity. That’s why I sprung at the chance to test out this bestselling Outdoor Voices One Shoulder Dress ($100) that customers rave about. It’s like the skort’s cooler big sister, with a sleek, modern design and shorts underneath, of course.

Yes, this dress is made by an athletic apparel brand (and I would totally wear it for a round of tennis), but I have also discovered it works great for other activities. Whether I’m running errands over the weekend or going on a hot-girl walk, this dress keeps me feeling comfy and put together. Keep reading to get my honest breakdown of this new design so that you know all the details before buying it yourself.

What I Like About the Outdoor Voices One-Shoulder Dress

As someone with a D cup, if I’m going to wear a one-shoulder dress, I need it to be supportive. To my surprise (and satisfaction), this dress holds my boobs in place no problem. The dress is made with Outdoor Voices’s SuperForm fabric, which is meant for sweaty, high-impact workouts. The fabric compresses without feeling clingy, and it’s built with UPF 50 sun protection.

My absolutely favorite part about this dress is that the hidden shorts include two pockets that are big enough to fit my iPhone 12 Pro on one side and my keys and credit card on the other side. Yes, I don’t even need to carry a bag when I wear this dress. The pockets even have these little top flaps so that nothing slides out.

What’s Worth Noting

I will say that for me, this dress runs a little small. I am typically a large, but I feel more comfortable in the XL, especially in the chest area. If you prefer a tighter fit, go with your usual size. I also have to mention that the blue shade is beautiful in real life — you get the exact shade you see online. The dress came in nice packaging and goes on smoothly.

Who Is This Outdoor Voices Dress Best For?

If you live an active lifestyle or if comfort is your top priority when shopping, this is a good dress for you. I love that I can walk around all day in this dress without having to fidget at my clothes or deal with thigh chafing. I can wear it for a light workout or running errands, but I would also totally put it on for a weekend brunch as well. It’s my new closet BFF!

  • The dress comes in light blue, lavender, lime green, dark plum, white, black, and navy blue.
