As a writer he has covered entertainment, theatre, and cabaret for several magazines, including local and national publications, for 50 years and is currently senior critic for BistroAwards.com.  He also regularly contributes audio essays and performances for the Troubadours and Raconteurs podcast. He is currently at work on his first novel.

His lyrics have been performed and recorded by some of New York’s best singers and he contributed English lyrics for YouTube sensation Perpetuum Jazzile, a 50 voice acapella jazz choir from Slovenia; the song Strange Night (Cudna Noc) was featured on their last DVD and can be viewed on YouTube.

In a cabaret career entering its sixth decade, he has conceived and directed several musical revues including the Bistro and MAC award winning, Monday in the Dark with George (for which he received a Bistro Award for Outstanding Director), Put on Your Saturday Suit (Words & Music by Jimmy Webb), and a Lieber & Stoller revue, Good Time City, along with solo shows for award-winning singers Andre de Shields, Darius de Haas, Helen Baldassare, jazz sensation Taawanda and drag superstar Julia Van Cartier.
