With films like Wrath of Man and shows like The Gentlemen, there’s no doubt that Guy Ritchie has reclaimed his place in the crime genre after years of focusing on other projects. However, it is the director’s collaborations with major Hollywood stars that have captivated audiences following the release of a brilliant second season.
As audiences rejoice over the announcement of an upcoming third season, the crime thriller continues to cement its dominance on streaming and remains the No. 1 series worldwide. One of streaming’s most dangerous families and its most fearless defender are far from ending their reign of terror.
‘MobLand’ Remains the No. 1 Series on Streaming Globally
After the release of MobLand Season 2, the series climbed the charts to become one of 2026’s biggest hits. The second season builds on the success of the first, whose record-breaking debut made it Paramount+‘s biggest launch ever, attracting more than 2 million viewers. The returning season also earned a positive reception, with a 90% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, up from the first season’s 77%.
In Season 2, Ritchie is back as producer and director, with most of the cast reprising their roles. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren return as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, respectively, while Tom Hardy again brings Harry Da Souza to life. Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, and Emmett J. Scanlan also return in their respective roles.
Hardy’s Harry Da Souza takes on an even more central role in Season 2. Caught between Conrad and Maeve’s struggle for power, Harry must remain loyal to both while finding a way to protect himself and his loved ones. The Harrigan empire has never been more vulnerable, and Harry’s chances of surviving the family’s increasingly dangerous confrontations with their enemies are dwindling.
According to the latest update to the charts, MobLand remains one of the biggest series on the streaming landscape. On the global charts tracking Amazon’s add-on subscriptions to other streaming platforms, the series remains the No. 1 title. On Paramount+’s global charts, the series sits at No. 4, behind Marshals, Tulsa King, and South Park. The U.S. charts place MobLand at No. 7.
‘MobLand’ Will Return for Season 3
Paramount+ has officially confirmed that MobLand will continue with another season. After rumors that Hardy had differences with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, it has been confirmed that Season 3 will feature the Academy Award–nominated actor reprising the Harrigans’ unpredictable “fixer.” Harry Da Souza’s odds have worsened considerably throughout Season 2, and although a few episodes remain before the season wraps, it’s unlikely the writers will get rid of the crime family’s most compelling member.
A release date has yet to be confirmed, but Season 2 took more than a year to arrive on streaming. This could point to a late 2027 release if Paramount+ decides to follow the same schedule. All the streamer has indicated is that “THE HARRIGANS AREN’T GOING ANYWHERE,” and that Hardy will be joined by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren again in their respective roles.
