Prior to the release of the current season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, John Krasinski gave a heartfelt statement about his wife, Emily Blunt.

Actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are well-known for being one of the internet’s favorite celebrity couples. Since tying the knot back in 2010 with a low-key ceremony, Krasinski and Blunt haven’t been shy about publicly declaring their affection for one another. More recently, The Office star sat down for a chat with Parade before the release of the latest season of Krasinski’s show, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Unsurprisingly, Krasinski had plenty of positive things to say about his wife during the exclusive interview.

“I wouldn’t be anywhere in my life without her,” the actor declared to Parade. “On a daily basis, but certainly in a career-wise, as a dad, she pushes me to be better every single day at everything I do. So I look forward to the next day cause I know it’ll be better than the one before.”

The actor’s heartfelt remarks come just weeks after he revealed that the couple’s children were struggling to comprehend that Krasinski has a career as a successful actor. The Free Guy actor initially made the remark during a chat on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this month. Though Krasinski is most well known for his work on The Office, he stated that his daughters believe that their father works in an actual office.

John Krasinski Revealed That the Pair’s Children Think He Works in an Actual Office

Krasinski said, “I was walking them to school one day and this guy came up and he went, ‘John! From The Office!'” said Krasinski, who played fan favorite Jim Halpert in the hit NBC show. “He went, ‘Oh my god, it’s so good to see you!’ And I said, ‘Thanks.’ And we kept walking.”

The star then went on to say that his daughter was very confused by the exchange, thinking that her father worked with the fan at an actual office. When Krasinski told his daughter that he didn’t actually know the fan personally, his daughter became convinced that her dad was “lying” to her. She goes, ‘Why are you lying to me? … He just said he knows you from the office?'” said the actor.

He then explained that the pair’s children (who understand that their mom is famous thanks to her leading role in Mary Poppins Returns) think Blunt married him as an act of “charity.” He said My kids thought that she had married me out of charity, like, ‘You’re so nice to marry an accountant! That’s so nice of you,'” he quipped. “Cause they don’t know what I do.”

The latest season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan premiered yesterday, on Dec. 21, available now on Prime Video.
