Hulu has shared a comical new teaser for its upcoming King of the Hill revival, and this one’s for all the dads that keep the handshakes firm and the beers cold. The 40-second preview of the new season of Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’ animated series was released online on June 15, Father’s Day, and, aptly, features Hank Hill offering some fatherly advice to his now-adult son Bobby, who he greets with a firm handshake, proving that he hasn’t become any more tactile or affectionate in his years away from the screen. He’s still the same old Hank.
In the video (shared below), Hank serves up three nuggets of wisdom alongside his signature beers and burgers. Firstly, he encourages simple living, which, according to him, includes keeping your beverages in the fridge. Secondly, he suggests there is always room for improvement as he stops short of rating the driver of a ride-hailing service top marks so he has “something to work towards.” And last, but by no means least, he reminds Bobby, who works as a chef, that he is in charge, as he refuses to relinquish his duties as the grill master.

17 Years Later, ‘King of the Hill’ Is Finally Coming Back to Our Screens, Here’s What To Expect
‘King of the Hill’ is a beloved cult classic sitcom that initially ran for 13 seasons, with a revival slated to debut on August 4, 2025, on Hulu.
The King of the Hill revival picks up 14 years after the original series concluded and will follow Hank and Peggy’s retirement years after a stint overseas, while 21-year-old Bobby pursues a culinary career at a restaurant in Dallas. However, as hinted in the synopsis below, life in Arlen is not quite how Hank remembers it. His longtime pals, Bill Dauterive, Dale Gribble, and Boomhauer, have embraced the convenience of modern living and the ever-evolving digital age, making Hank a fish out of water in a world awash with electronic devices and gadgets.
“After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.”
When Does ‘King of the Hill’ Return to Screens?
King of the Hill is slated to return to screens on Hulu on Aug. 4, 2025, with all 10 episodes of the revival, billed as Season 14, being made available to stream on the same day. The wildly popular adult animated series has already been renewed for an additional season, giving audiences more time with Hank and the gang, with much of the original cast reprising their roles, including Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, Toby Huss, and Johnny Hardwick, who recorded new episodes as Dale Gribble before his death.
Hulu picked up the King of the Hill revival, hailing from original series creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, in January 2023. They are both serving as executive producers alongside returning showrunner Saladin Patterson. The trio also wrote the first episode of Season 14, titled “Return of the King,” marking the show’s return to television after 15 years. The original run was met with critical acclaim, so fans will likely be equal parts excited and apprehensive to see whether they, like Hank, can adjust to the changes the new season brings.
