While swimwear has expanded into other territories like full dresses and scarves that double as sarongs, you can never go wrong with a traditional bikini. Thongkinis have been the dominating summer swimwear trends, and the latest to embrace the skin-baring silhouette is Leni Klum. As the daughter of supermodel Heidi Klum and Italian entrepreneur Flavio Briatore, the 19-year-old is quickly following in her mother’s swimwear-loving footsteps, especially regarding fashion choices.

On Aug. 22, she shared a photo of herself lounging on her father’s yacht during a luxurious vacation in the South of France wearing a white string bikini. The swimsuit featured a triangle bra top with a halter neckline and a pair of ruched briefs. Klum accessorized with oversize black sunglasses and delicate gold jewelry.

Earlier, on Aug. 16, Klum took time to unwind in a high-cut blue-and-orange triangle bikini, reminiscent of her mother’s recent bikini marathon during a separate getaway in Italy. She wore black large-frame sunglasses, gold bracelets, and damp hair from a refreshing swim in the French blue waters.

Klum is managing to carve her own path in an industry her mother has dominated. She’s enjoyed many noteworthy moments during her budding three-year modeling career, including covering Vogue Germany’s January 2021 issue alongside her supermodel mom. The picture-perfect pair wore colorful ensembles of matching blazers and pants styled in pink, blue, and green. Klum also covered Harper’s Bazaar Germany, Elle Germany, and Glamour Germany. In the last, she subtly nodded to the Barbiecore trend while wearing a pink trench coat, Christian Dior socks, and black heels. What’s more, Klum has landed campaigns with major brands, including Dior Beauty, Superga, Fila, and Intimissimi.

She has also become quite the fashion week staple, embracing chic and edgy styles for front-row appearances. In February, she attended the Michael Kors Fall 2023 show wearing a black top, a red-and-black wrap skirt with fringe, an oversize white blazer, and strappy heels. She also matched with her mom at Milan Fashion Week last September; Heidi wore a sparkling, embellished oversize blazer from Falguni Shane Peacock India while Leni chose an all-leather coord set from CultNaked.
