Apple Music Replay has arrived, and revealed its list of the biggest songs of 2024. Check it out below.
It comes ahead of the highly anticipated Spotify Wrapped 2024 – which allows music fans to look back at their favourite releases of the year, and arrives with stats, rankings and summaries about each user’s most listened-to songs, albums, podcasts, artists and genres.
Shared today (December 3), Apple’s Replay 2024 experience comes with new features and insights and is available via the Apple Music app.
As well as letting users share their end-of-year insights, this year’s edition also allows music lovers to discover whether they made it into the Top 100, 500 or 1000 listeners of any of their favourite artists, and discover the longest consecutive number of days they’ve played from Apple Music.
Other new features include Replay By Month – which lets users relive the year through months, and see their top choices over the past 12 months – as well as their Top Artist Streak, and the first date they listened to their top song, artist and album of the year.
A new 2024 Replay mix is also available, which comprises each user’s most-played songs from the year in one playlist.
As for the artists who have their work on Apple Music, the artist-version of Replay allows musicians to look back at the total minutes subscribers listened to in 2024, the total number of subscribers who listened to them this year, the top cities they were played in, and which song of theirs was most discovered through Shazam.

As well as Replay being shared, Apple Music has also revealed the year-end charts for 2024, which reveal the biggest songs of the year by Apple Music streams, Shazam tags, radio spins, read lyrics and more.
In the findings for this year, it was shared that 2024 was the biggest year for women in global songs chart history, with 39 of the top global songs by female-identifying artists. Those featured among the top listed include Sabrina Carpenter with ‘Espresso’, Taylor Swift with ‘Cruel Summer’ and Billie Eilish with ‘Birds Of A Feather’.
Elsewhere Benson Boone and Teddy Swims have been confirmed as leading the global Shazam chart with respective hits ‘Beautiful Things’ and ‘Lose Control’, while Dua Lipa leads the inaugural year-end Shazam global radio spins chart with her summer hit ‘Houdini’.

While no official date for Spotify Wrapped has been shared for this year, it is predicted to be unveiled sometime this week, as it usually arrives at the end of November or the start of December.
The announcement of Apple Music Replay comes just hours after NME shared the list of the Best 50 Songs Of 2024, with songs by Chappell Roan, The Cure, Kneecap, Dua Lipa, The Last Dinner Party and more making the list. You can check out the full 50 here.
