This may be the cleanest the NFL injury report has looked all season. Or at least we didn’t see many notable players go down with an ailment coming out of Week 7. Let’s try not to jinx anything, though. It’s tough enough on fantasy football managers already. So let’s take a look at the Week 8 injury report and who we need to track for our fantasy lineups.
Quarterback
-
Lamar Jackson, BAL (ankle)

Jackson: This appears to be the only major QB injury we’re tracking this week. Jackson has missed the past three games with a high-ankle sprain. We already have reports saying Lamar will play in Week 8 against the Bills on Sunday afternoon. Given how injury reporting has gone, let’s see how Jackson’s practice reports look this week. He could be limited a bit or hold a questionable tag going into the game. If Jackson is back, it’s a boon for the entire Baltimore offense, particularly Derrick Henry, Ja’Kobi Lane and Mark Andrews. Zay Flowers has done fine for fantasy with Tyler Huntley under center, but has a better chance of consistently hitting his ceiling with Jackson at the helm.
Running Back
-
Jeremiyah Love, ARI (ankle)
-
Aaron Jones Sr., MIN (knee)
-
Brian Robinson Jr., ATL (hamstring)
-
Zach Charbonnet, SEA (knee)
Hall: The Jets held Hall out for Sunday’s loss to Miami and Braelon Allen ate up all the ground work again. The more Allen produces at a high level while Hall is out, the more likely he is to maintain a significant role in the offense upon Hall’s return. That return appears likely to be Week 8 against the Raiders, though we’ll monitor Hall at practice this week. If Hall remains out, Allen keeps his RB2 status and is one of the better fantasy backs again in a great matchup. If Hall returns, we’ll need to see how the split shakes out, but he should be in your lineup. Allen should retain flex value with Hall back. We could see Allen command the early-down work while Hall takes snaps on passing downs.

Love: It’s been a rough rookie campaign so far for the Cardinals’ top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He’s missed the past two games with a nagging ankle injury, but should have a shot to play in Week 8 against Dallas. Will he be a good fantasy play if he’s active? That’s far more uncertain than it looked in August, given how he’s been used when healthy. Plus, Bam Knight has 128 yards on 22 carries (5.8 YPC) over the past two games with Love out. Knight has been better than Tyler Allgeier, so now we could see a three-back rotation once Love returns. That will make it difficult to trust any one RB until we see how things shake out snap/touch-wise.
Jones: The Vikings’ back exited late in the win over Indy on Sunday and did not return. Jordan Mason was back in the fold, coming off injured reserve for Week 7. He led the rushing attack with 15 carries for 68 yards. Jones had eight carries for 26 yards and one catch. We know Jones’ injury history, plus Mason looked better on his carries. We also know the passing game has been weak with Kyler Murray at the helm. If Jones sits, he reportedly avoided a serious knee injury, Mason is an RB2 given the type of volume he’d get. Even if Jones is OK for Week 8 against the Lions, Mason feels like the better option right now.
Wide Receiver
-
DeVonta Smith, PHI (hamstring)
-
Jaylen Waddle, DEN (chest)
-
Rashee Rice, KC (hamstring)
-
Emeka Egbuka, TB (concussion/foot)
-
Ladd McConkey, LAC (concussion)
-
Jaylin Noel, HOU (turf toe)
-
Rashid Shaheed, SEA (knee)

Waddle: It’s been a rough go for Waddle in his first year in Denver, and a rough go for managers who invested a high draft pick in him. The wideout caught four of seven targets for 48 yards in Week 7’s win over the Cardinals but was forced to exit with a chest injury and didn’t return. He was trending toward another bust week and now is dealing with an injury. In shallow formats, Waddle could even become a drop candidate. Even if he plays in Week 8, it’s a miserable matchup against the Kansas City secondary. If Waddle is out, it’s tough to trust any other receivers in this passing game anyway. Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin would benefit but wouldn’t be more than risky flex options.
Rice: The Seahawks’ defense stifled the Chiefs on SNF in Week 7, one of the more dominating performances this season. Kansas City didn’t get much going through the air as Patrick Mahomes had just 165 yards on 33 attempts with one INT. Xavier Worthy was out there the most with Jalen Royals, Andrew Armstrong and Cyrus Allen rotating in at WR. If Rice can return in Week 8, we would see the target tree condense, with Rice, Worthy, TE Travis Kelce and RB Kenneth Walker III getting most of the touches. Rice wasn’t offering much upside prior to the injury, so he’s merely a WR3/flex option. Worthy would be relegated to a risky flex against Denver.
Tight End
-
Tyler Warren, IND (groin)
Warren: The second-year TE missed his second straight game Sunday as the Colts fell to the Vikings. We didn’t expect much from Daniel Jones against Minnesota’s defense, but the passing game continues to be a negative. A road matchup against the Jaguars shouldn’t get the pass game going either. If Warren comes back, it’s tough to trust him as the TE1 we thought he’d be going into 2026. But he was posting decent numbers as Jones’ preferred target with 30 catches for 213 yards and two scores (one rushing TD) in five games. You can play Warren if he’s active for Week 8, but temper expectations.
