The Steelers and Saints last played in 2022, with Pittsburgh coming out victorious. Pittsburgh now heads to Europe for a second straight season. The Steelers beat the Minnesota Vikings in Ireland last year.
A few international matchups had already been announced.
The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers will face off in Australia on the Thursday of Week 1 in the season’s first international game. As a result, the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will instead kick off the regular season Wednesday, Sept. 9.
The NFL is returning to Brazil, this time with a game in Rio de Janeiro in Week 3 between the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys. The league’s first two regular-season matchups in South America took place in Sao Paulo each of the past two years.
The NFL’s full regular-season schedule releases Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
