In the first season finale, Seong Gi-hun won the prize. Back in the real world, he manages to find the creator of the games, and decides that he is going to return to the arena to expose what is happening and unveiled the truth behind the deaths that have occurred without anyone knowing.
Details about the plot of the second season have been kept under wraps, but it will likely focus on a new group of participants who desperately turn to the game to win money. But with Seong Gi-hun determined to expose everything that’s going on, things are about to get interesting. So, in addition to new games, the plot will probably expand beyond the arena.
Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed the cast of the second season which will be led by Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as FrontMan, and Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho. They will be joined by Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun in undisclosed roles.
Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae will soon be part of the Star Wars universe in The Acolyte, one of the franchise’s upcoming series. The story takes place nearly 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, during the High Republic, and follows a Jedi master and his Padawan as they try to solve a series of crimes that hide a much darker truth.
