“When life gives you a fringe dress, you must twirl in it.” — Tracee Ellis Ross, 2022

OK, so Tracee didn’t actually say this, but she certainly implied it with her latest style moment. For a Late Night With Seth Meyers interview on Thursday evening, the Black-ish star emulated pure sunshine in a yellow fringe dress, and although it was a virtual appearance from home, she still managed to show off the full look in all its glory. “I want to make an entrance like it’s real. You’re not gonna see my face, but the dress is so good, watch,” she told Seth before standing up and doing a little shimmy to model the outfit.

Lucky for us, that wasn’t the only peek at the knit dress that Tracee offered — she also posted a slow-motion video of her dancing in it to further demonstrate how beautifully the fringe pieces and beaded sleeve tassels move. Selected by stylist Karla Welch, the party dress hails from Proenza Schouler’s spring 2022 collection — and yes, it’s available to purchase online right now if you’re itching to get your twirl on. Shop it ahead after watching Tracee break it down and model the designer piece like the queen she is.
