Lizzo’s Outfits on Saturday Night Live

Lizzo played double duty over the weekend, appearing on the April 16 episode of “Saturday Night Live” as both the host and musical guest. For the occasion, she went with an assortment of sparkly outfits, seamlessly switching between her two roles. (Though the singer did break character during the hysterical Beanie Babies “SNL” sketch, but it’s hard to blame her for that.) She started the episode wearing a bright blue ruched minidress, accessorizing with a complementary metallic blue fringe coat.

During the episode, she performed two new songs from her long-awaited upcoming album, “Special,” which is set for a July 15 release. Ahead of her first performance of the night, she introduced herself while wearing an ornate black and white feather coat. “Ladies and gentlemen, me,” she said, throwing the coat aside to reveal a bedazzled neon yellow jumpsuit from her just-launched shapewear brand Yitty. The vibrant outfit came with a matching corset, which she wore on top of the custom catsuit. To complete the color-coordinated ensemble, she slipped into a pair of sneakers in the same hue.

Later on, the star wore yet another corseted look. This time, she brought her mom, Shari Johnson-Jefferson, down from the audience to introduce her performance of “Special.” She styled this corset over a hot pink minidress and added a layer of drama to her look with a matching pink cape and sparkling heels. For her final bow, the singer went casual in a black Yitty hoodie with a pair of sparkly biker shorts.

Ahead, get a closer look at Lizzo‘s sparkly outfits on “Saturday Night Live.”
