The series is created by Scott Prendergast, known for MTV’s animated series Celebrity Deathmatch, in which satirized versions of celebrities do as the title suggests. Prendergast also penned the series Wilfred, a show about a guy who sees his dog as a fully-grown man. Additionally, CBS has a long history of developing and delivering legal dramas such as Perry Mason, JAG, Judging Amy, and critically acclaimed The Good Wife.

Davis has had a tremendous career spanning over 40 years. Davis’s roles in television have even garnered her an Emmy nomination for playing the first-ever female President of the United States in Commander in Chief. The actor was also featured in recurring roles in Fox’s The Exorcist, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and she even had a role in Netflix’s GLOW. She executive produced and starred in the documentary This Changes Everything, which calls attention to and aims to reform gender disparity in Hollywood.
