Savannah James’s Nude Illusion Dress at the ESPYs

Savannah James is showing us how it’s done. On July 12, the entrepreneur and wife of basketball legend LeBron James stepped out for the ESPY Awards in an embellished Georges Hobeika dress highlighting each and every one of her curves. The bodycon design was carefully crafted using nude fabric to create the illusion of side and hip cutouts, with sparkly red, purple, and black sequins adding to the dramatic effect. James styled the look with bright blond Hollywood waves, strappy black YSL heels, and minimal jewelry. The stunning dress was her first outfit of the night, as she later showed off a less formal black-and-white ensemble on Instagram.

James got to show off the dress’s full shine while helping present her husband with an award for breaking the NBA’s all-time scoring record. She also seemed to coordinate her color palette with the rest of her family’s looks, as seen when they joined together onstage. LeBron wore a classic black suit with golden hardware and jewelery to accept his award, while 18-year-old Bronny looked equally as fashionable in a bright red suit. 16-year-old Bryce wore black suspenders and a white button down, and 8-year-old Zhuri finished the group off strong by dressing in sequins just like her mom.

Given the recent uptick in naked dresses seen on celebrities like Dua Lipa and Ciara, James’s nude illusion is a great way to get in on the trend without actually showing a lot of skin. “I think LeBron James is the baddest to ever step foot on a basketball court,” she said while presenting LeBron with his award. But when it came down to the ESPYs, she made sure she was the baddest on the stage. Read on to see how James shone in her figure-hugging gown at the ESPY Awards.
