Selena Gomez Wears a Corset Top With a Plunging Neckline

Selena Gomez loves a plunging neckline. On Aug. 4, the “Only Murders in the Building” star got all dressed up to stay home on her Instagram Stories. Before sharing a final video declaring, “I don’t think I’m going anywhere tonight,” Gomez showed off her blue corset top, which featured a deep neckline, giving the outfit a touch of the lingerie-as-outerwear trend.

The actor’s corset featured a summery blue-and-purple floral pattern, which she paired with a light-washed maxi jean skirt with a high split in the front. Gomez accessorized her look with pointed-toe white pumps, a sparkly red-and-yellow bag, simple hoop earrings, and a black ribbon tied in her high ponytail. When it came time for her makeup, she opted for a low-key look, featuring a dark lip.

Even though Gomez ultimately decided to stay in after putting together a stylish summer-evening-out ensemble, she’s had plenty of fashion-forward moments this season already. In June, she wore a black one-piece bathing suit during a boat trip, and in July, she embraced the Barbiecore trend with a soft-pink manicure. More recently, she showed off her supermodel nails while hanging with her little sister, Gracie Teefey.

Whether she’s staying in or going out, Gomez’s top priority when it comes to her personal style is ensuring she’s staying true to herself. In a 2022 interview with Glamour UK, she shared how she deals with Hollywood’s unrealistic beauty standards. “From the time I can remember, I’ve always felt like I had to be perfect or look a certain way,” she said. “It took me a long time to realize that I only wanted to be myself – that what made me unique was also what made me beautiful.”
