M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin Gets a New Poster



M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin, starring Dave Bautista, has a new poster.

Indian and American filmmaker and actor M. Night Shyamalan has become well-known for crafting films that feature twists and unexpected endings. The moviemaker initially gained acclaim following the release of his well-received 1999 movie, The Sixth Sense. Since then, Shyamalan has continued to delight audiences with unforeseen details and shocking conclusions in films like The Visit and Split. With the release of his upcoming horror film Knock at the Cabin right around the corner, plenty of fans of the director’s work are eager for more updates on his latest creation. Recently, ScreenRant reported that a new poster for Shyamalan’s upcoming film was shared by the filmmaker on Twitter.

In the new poster, a simple graphic shows four strangers looming outside of a cabin, with red markings coming from their silhouettes. Alongside the image, the director wrote, “I love the final poster. Like some old film noir. The graphic posters are my favorite. It’s a throwback film in many ways. Can not wait for you to see it in theaters.”

Knock at the Cabin will follow a couple and their young daughter taking a trip to a remote cabin in the woods. During their vacation, the family is confronted and taken hostage by four armed strangers who force the trio to make a difficult choice in order to avert an apocalypse. The upcoming film will star Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge as the couple Andrew and Eric, along with Kristen Cui as the young daughter, Wen. The four strangers will be played by Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Abby Quinn, and Nikki Amuka-Bird.

Knock at the Cabin Was Adapted From Paul G. Tremblay’s Best-selling Novel the Cabin at the End of the World.

The film, Knock at the Cabin was adapted from author Paul G. Tremblay’s best-selling novel The Cabin at the End of the World. Shyamalan crafted the screenplay along with Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman, who served as co-writers. The film’s storyline is expected to be similar to the book’s, though the director’s signature twists will likely offer something new for those familiar with Tremblay’s novel.

While Shyamalan’s upcoming film also recently released a second trailer, much of the details regarding Knock at the Cabin have still remained a mystery. It is known that Knock at the Cabin will have an R rating for violence and language, meaning audiences can expect the Unbreakable director’s upcoming movie to feature some notably intense and potentially graphic scenes.

Knock at the Cabin will hit theaters on February 3rd, 2023.
