Harden reaches 25K career points, Clippers win 6th straight

James Harden joined exclusive company during Thursday’s clash against the Golden State Warriors.

The Los Angeles Clippers guard became just the 24th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points. He joins LeBron James and Kevin Durant as the only active players to accomplish the feat.

Harden’s milestone bucket came on a layup with 4:33 remaining in the third quarter.

Most of Harden’s points came as a member of the Houston Rockets, where the 10-time All-Star won three league scoring titles over nine seasons.

The 34-year-old is just 184 points behind Jerry West for 24th on the league’s all-time leaderboard.

Harden was averaging 15.9 points on 46.2% shooting across 18 appearances entering Thursday’s contest.

Harden finished with 28 points, 15 assists, seven boards, four blocks, and one steal as the Clippers prevailed 121-113 for their sixth straight victory.
