The Villains of Valley View Renewed for Season 2 by Disney Channel

There will be more of The Villains of Valley View on the Disney Channel, as Deadline reports that the series has been officially renewed for a second season. Earlier this summer, the show premiered its first season, culminating with the finale on July 29. Disney Branded Television execs are happy with the viewership and response to the series resulting in the show now earning its renewal for more episodes.

“It isn’t hard to see why audiences have fallen in love with the villainous Madden family,” Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis said in a statement. “Despite a penchant for utilizing their superpowers in everyday life, Amy and family ultimately care about and support one another. Even though life can be messy, ridiculous, and sometimes frightening, the Maddens demonstrate the (super)power of family and togetherness.”

The Villains of Valley View Will Return

Disney Channel

The Villains of Valley View, originally titled Meet the Mayhems, primarily follows the Madden family, a family that seems like they would be completely ordinary except for the fact that they are not at all. Mom can control electricity; Dad is a mad scientist; Jake has super strength; and Colby is a shapeshifter. The show was created by executive producers Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore, who also serve as showrunners.

“Chris and Bryan, along with this terrific cast, are fast at work to deliver a fun and entertaining ‘fish-out-of-water’ tale about an extraordinary family living an ordinary life,” Davis also said when the series was first announced. “While they entertain, the stories also incorporate themes of self-confidence, personal responsibility, teamwork, justice, and empathy.”

You can check out the official trailer and synopsis for the first season of The Villains of Valley View below.

When teenage supervillain Havoc stands up to the head of the League of Villains, her family is forced to change their identities and relocate to a sleepy Texas suburb. With the help of her effervescent new neighbor Hartley, Havoc – going incognito as “Amy” – must somehow hide her superpowers and quell her villainous nature in favor of something she and the rest of her family have fought against all their lives: being normal.

Season 2 of The Villains of Valley View doesn’t yet have a release date set at the Disney Channel. You can stream the first season on Disney+.
