Political commentator and ex-congressional hopeful Kimberly Klacik took to Twitter to share a few glamour updates: “I made it to brunch.” Accompanying this was a shot flaunting effortless chic vibes, and in no time, hordes of comments started pouring in, some sincere, others playful.

The picture of Klacik holding what many assumed to be a glass of red wine was fast becoming the center of attraction. Many were simply overwhelmed by her beauty and flooded the comments with remarks such as “You are a goddess on earth” from Sam Taffy, or “more gorgeous than ever!” from Gar. There were even serious suggestions in the comments, proposing Klacik should try modeling. Another straightforward comment said, “How are you not a model?”
But the comments weren’t all praises-clones started jibes at her and questioned her choices. “Plastic surgery is not a good look on you…” said Joseph while Marco joked, “Really, red wine for brunch? Or is it cranberry juice?” This varied mixture just goes on to show how Klacik’s public persona is still very polarizing, even when the occasion is an extremely light topic.
In the middle of the sea of compliments, some responses took the conversation a little downside the personal trail. “I thought you quit drinking for your blood pressure?” made reference to a prior health discussion. Meanwhile, others went straight to flirting, with one admirer outright asking: “Can I take you out?”
Douglas Thompson added some fuel to the political pot: “Damn I still can’t believe u didn’t win that election. That’s some real bullshit.” That reminder pretty much shows how much for many, that is Klacik’s identity-the very presence of political aspirations tied to outings about brunch.
The playful mood set by the tweet did nothing to keep some people from reading entirely too much into it. John Anderson admitted, “I initially misread it as ‘I was made for brunch,’” which really considering the reactions, wouldn’t be too far-fetched. Then Pan Dulce tossed out a completely random yet hilarious Blazing Saddles joke: “Where the white women at?”

Notwithstanding, Klacik’s brunch post was the perfect engagement piece-simple, visually gripping, and open to interpretation. Regardless of whether they complimented her appearance, questioned her drink, or reminisced about her days in politics, one thing for sure is Kimberly Klacik does not share the talent for turning conversations off on the Internet. And let’s just be honest, who doesn’t love a good brunch shot?
