Dark Man X Brand Drops New Merch as DMX Legacy Continues into 2026

The DMX estate dropped a new merchandise collection on Friday, available now at darkmanx.com.

The announcement came through the official DMX Instagram account. The caption featured two red X emojis and a simple message: “NEW MERCH DROP – Available NOW at darkmanx.com.” Short and direct.

Earl Simmons, known to the world as DMX, passed away on April 9, 2021. He suffered a cardiac arrest linked to a drug overdose. He was 50 years old. The New York rapper had built one of the most recognizable names in hip-hop over a career that started in the mid-1990s.

DMX broke into the mainstream in 1998 with It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, an album that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. He followed it that same year with Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood. That second release also debuted at number one. He became the first artist ever to debut two studio albums at number one in the same calendar year.

Songs like Ruff Ryders’ Anthem and Party Up (Up in Here) became fixtures of late-1990s hip-hop radio. X Gon’ Give It to Ya, later featured in the Deadpool film series, introduced him to a whole new generation of listeners long after its original 2003 release.

DMX was also a core member of the Ruff Ryders crew, alongside acts like Eve, Jadakiss, and Styles P. That group helped define what east coast rap sounded like during one of the genre’s most commercially successful stretches.

His estate moved quickly after his death to keep his legacy going. A posthumous album, Exodus, came out in May 2021, just weeks after he passed. Jay-Z, Nas, Lil Wayne, and Snoop Dogg all appeared on it. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200.

More than five years later, the estate is still at it. The official Instagram account posts regularly, and merchandise drops have been part of that effort. The darkmanx.com storefront serves as the central hub for estate-licensed products. It follows the direct-to-consumer model that major artist estates have adopted in recent years.

DMX released seven studio albums during his lifetime and sold tens of millions of records worldwide. He earned several Grammy nominations and appeared in films like Belly (1998) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003).

He also talked openly about addiction, his faith, and life under public scrutiny. That honesty made him feel real to a lot of people in a way that pure celebrity rarely does. His audience has stayed loyal in the years since his passing.

A merchandise drop isn’t headline news on its own. But a new collection is a straightforward sign that his legacy is still being looked after.

The new items are available now at darkmanx.com.
