Grant Gustin Is Up for a Glee Revival

Grant Gustin might be done with The Flash, but he’s not against a Glee revival now that The CW’s show will end.

Grant Gustin is ready to hand in the boots and leave Barry Allen behind now that The Flash is coming to an end on The CW. After almost 10 years playing the Arrowverse version of The Scarlet Speedster, the actor is ready to move on and find new challenges in his career. Although he might be up to return to another role he played in the past.

In a recent chat with E! News while promoting the ninth season of the DC Comics show, Grant opened up about the possibility of being a part of a Glee revival:

“That was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. So, I would obviously… love it.”

Even when Gustin was not a relevant cast member in Ryan Murphy’s production, his being up to it seems like good news after many other actors and actresses from the series have shown no interest in doing it.

In Glee, the actor played Sebastian Smythe, a gay student at Dalton Academy and part of the Warblers, who first appeared in the third season as a sort of villain who shows love interest towards Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss), interfering several times in his relationship with Kurt (Chris Colfer).

He even got the chance to reunite with some of his former Glee cast-mates in The Flash for a special episode where Criss played the main villain, Music Meister. They were joined by Mellisa Benois, who played Supergirl in the Arrowverse and Marley in Glee.

Will Glee Ever Get a Reboot or Revival?

20th Television

A few months ago, Glee’s creator Ryan Murphy expressed his desire to revive the franchise. Even though he seemed unsure about how that would be possible, he did mention the possibility of doing a Broadway show based on the series.

Meanwhile, a documentary that follows the scandals and conflicts behind the production and the many tragedies after the show’s end came out on Discovery+ last January. The three-part docuseries explored the deaths of three of the main protagonists, Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Naya Rivera, and the many problematic relationships between the cast members.

Whether it will, or it will not get a reboot, Glee was a huge success that propelled the career of many of its actors while creating a never before seen concept of musical-inspired television. So, it will always be remembered.
