Dolph Lundgren’s Busy 2023

Saban Films

Since his famous participation in Rocky IV in 1985, Lundgren has become a great exponent of action cinema and other genres, collecting a long list of more than interesting titles such as Don’t Kill It, Castle Falls, Hail, Caesar! , Minions: The Rise of Gru, A View to a Kill, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, or The Punisher among many others.

Although the peak of his career was as an action star in the ’80s and ’90s, something he shares with his character in Showdown at the Grand, the actor has stayed busy throughout his career. In fact, in 2023, he participated in several projects and still has a number of pending releases.

His first release of the year was Shane Dax Taylor’s The Best Man. The film is set in a hotel during a wedding, when a group of mercenaries takes over the place, and groom, his best man and another guest are in charge of taking down the criminals in order to continue with the celebration. He then released Wanted Man, a film that he directed, wrote, produced and starred in.

On September 22, Expend4bles hit theaters, where Lundgren once again joins a long list of action heroes like Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone in the latest installment of the franchise. In December, Lundgren will once again become King Nereus in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the long-awaited sequel to the 2018 film centered on Jason Momoa’s DC hero.
