Last of Us Video Game Actress Expresses Interest in Joining HBO’s Season 2 Adaptation

The Last of Us Part II video game actress, Emily Swallow, has expressed interest in joining the cast of the show’s second season. The Last of Us TV series received a lot of critical acclaim and was praised for its faithfulness to the game’s story and characters. As a result of its success, the show has been renewed for a second season by HBO. Swallow played the character of Emily, a member of the Seraphites. During the events of the game, Emily and her group attacked Abby Anderson while she was looking for Owen Moore. During the attack, two of Emily’s associates restrained Abby, which enabled Emily to strike Abby unconscious with a hammer.

In a recent interview with Slash Film, Swallow revealed that she would love to appear in some capacity, and even offered to play a different character with a bigger role. She hopes that someone involved with the production of the show hears about her interest and gives her the opportunity to participate in the series.

“Oh my gosh. So many people keep asking me this. So I really hope that somebody will hear one of these interviews, read one of these interviews …because I would love to. I wouldn’t mind playing a role that maybe got to stick around a little bit longer because what I did in the game … granted, it was a really fun little bit part, but I wouldn’t mind playing somebody else who maybe lives longer and gets to have a scene with Pedro [Pascal] since now we’re on a roll between ‘The Mentalist’ and [‘The Mandalorian’].”

Neil Druckmann Confirms Production of The Last of Us Season 2 is Underway

The Last of Us has been one of the biggest hits of the year so far. The show has quickly become one of the most successful video game adaptations in television history. The pilot episode surpassed the viewership numbers of other hit shows like Game of Thrones and Westworld, cementing the series’ success.

The second installment of The Last of Us series is highly anticipated by fans, as it will adapt the events of The Last of Us Part II, which was released in 2020. The game was also a critical and commercial success, winning several awards for its storytelling, performances, and gameplay mechanics. The TV series will likely follow a similar structure, exploring the complex story that follows two main characters, Ellie and Abby, in parallel timelines. Fans are excited to see how the TV series will adapt the game’s story and how the characters will be portrayed on screen.

Neil Druckmann, who worked on the original video game and is also involved in the TV series adaptation, recently announced on Twitter that the next installment of The Last of Us has already started production. Druckmann also previously revealed that the next installment will likely take more than one season to develop, as there is a lot of material to adapt properly.
