Netflix Teases Stranger Things News with Mysterious Countdown Clock: ‘It’s Almost Time’

With rumors that a new trailer is about to drop, Netflix shared a link to a live feed of a spooky clock counting down to the morning of April 12th.

Fans of Stranger Things were given hope today that the highly anticipated full trailer for the upcoming penultimate fourth season of the popular sci-fi horror show will be arriving at 10 A.M. EST on April 12th. The official YouTube page began streaming a live video from Santa Monica, CA, where a replica of the grandfather clock seen in the Creel House in the new season has been set up in the street. Along with the clock appears to be actors in lab coats, observing and taking notes on the clock’s strange actions, which include frequent glitches and smoking.

Stranger Things will debut its fourth season next month, and there is lot of hype and expectation around the new episodes. With a promise from creators The Duffer Brothers that the new season will be the biggest yet, the episodes will be split into two parts; the first debuts on May 27, with the second half of the season following on July 1. The original announcement about the fourth season’s premiere dates was made back in February, and since then fans have been watching for signs of a new, longer trailer finally arriving.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

So far, Netflix have been teasing the show on their social media accounts, sharing recaps, character profiles and fan artwork among other things. While all of this is great for those who need that little reminder, there are almost as many people just wanting to see the trailer as there is currently stalking Marvel to release footage from Thor: Love and Thunder. The latest publicity stunt from Netflix has now given hope that this trailer is imminent, as if not there are going to be a lot of disappointed people come 10A.M. tomorrow.

Stranger Things Is Heading Towards Its Final Season, Which Could Lead To Bad Times For Some Hawkins Residents

Netflix

With the series now heading to a conclusion with its fifth season, and teases of some emotional times to come for the characters that fans have come to love, there is a question of whether everyone will survive the new season. While Jim Hopper was thought to have perished in the finale of the third season, we now know this was not the case, but Stranger Things has not always played out in a happy way, so the end could be night for one or more of the main cast this season.

However, the Duffer Brothers have made it clear that while the main show is reaching a climax, there are still plenty of other stories to be told in the Stranger Things universe. They said, “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes. But first we hope that you stay with us as we finish this tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends, of a broken police chief and a ferocious mom, of a small town called Hawkins and an alternative dimension known only as the Upside Down. As always we are grateful for your patience and support.”
